Broadway Pump Station

Early in 2020, Cornerstone provided reroofing design for the pump station with rock chimney located in Cal Anderson Park, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Cornerstone provided a reroof design that included the installation of a hybrid roofing system (single ply cap sheet over a bituminous base sheet) projected to provide a reduced life-cycle cost and maintenance for up to 30 years. The construction team navigated ongoing vandalism, constrained construction access and laydown areas to complete the project during the targeted summer season. Work included, but was not limited to, an existing condition survey; sampling/testing of two existing roof cores; preparation of bid documents (drawings and specifications); replacement of roofing and installation of fall protection. The project was completed on time and on budget by the end of summer 2020.
