Navy Operational Support Center Security Upgrades

This continually occupied facility required upgrades to allow it to operate as a secure Naval Facility. CAG worked remotely from Seattle to upgrade this facility, yet closely with the manufacturer to provide extra deep foundations and still satisfy the strict DOD crash testing. Unique site characteristics included a frost soil depth of five feet. Exterior upgrades included: 1,100 linear feet of DOD crash tested vehicle barriers, 2 barrier-gate arms linked to the internal electronic security system, DOD crash-test bollards for all pedestrian access, security-linked pedestrian turnstiles and full perimeter visual access to the entire facility. Interior upgrades included: modifications to the high security computer areas, cyber locks on all interior doors, laminated film on all windows and a new communication entry vestibule.
