Solar

At Cornerstone, we are committed to making a positive environmental impact by embracing renewable resources and reducing our carbon footprint. In pursuit of this goal, we incorporated 44 Washington-sourced solar panels into the re-roofing project at Fishermen’s Terminal (Net Shed 5). After a year of operation, the solar panel array exceeded our expectations by generating over 16,500 kWh of electricity, surpassing the initial projection of 15,000 kWh by a margin of 10%. This surplus energy not only fulfills Net Shed 5's annual requirement of 10,000 kWh but also contributes to the energy needs of other areas within Fishermen’s Terminal. As a result, Net Shed 5 has now achieved Carbon Neutrality or Net Zero, representing a significant milestone in our sustainability efforts.
