The 10,000-square-foot former Nike retail building in Burlington, WA, was transformed into a state-of-the-art Retina Eye Clinic and Research Center designed to enhance patient experience, operational efficiency, and clinical performance. The facility features seamless ADA accessibility with automatic sliding door access serving both clinics, ensuring convenient and inclusive entry for all patients.

The interior layout prioritizes efficient patient flow and provider productivity through two dedicated doctor pods; each designed with intuitive way-finding elements to help patients easily navigate the space while allowing providers to see more patients each day. A thoughtfully planned two-tiered waiting system further supports smooth circulation and reduces congestion.

Patient comfort and clinical functionality were central to the design, incorporating soothing color palettes and dimmable lighting throughout to accommodate light-sensitive patients. The facility is also supported by 100% emergency power backup, always ensuring uninterrupted clinical operations and patient safety.
