A three-phase addition and modernization to an existing campus, CAG designed additions to the gym, cafeteria, auxiliary gym, and a complete two-story science wing, without impeding the flow within the building. Extensive site work was incorporated in order to improve traffic flow for both parents and school buses.
New classrooms and laboratories incorporate natural lighting, supplemented by lighting controls. As part of the overall project, the HVAC and electrical systems were completely upgraded. Building upgrades included interior corridors, restroom upgrades, window replacement and biological remediation at the exterior.
Exterior siding was selected for low maintenance and durability. Sustainable features include exterior sun shades, electric interior blinds, ceiling fans for classroom comfort, efficient HVAC, lighting controls, natural daylighting throughout, durable low-VOC materials and entrance vestibules.
